Career: LaMalfa has been a rice farmer all of his life, and continues to manage the family farm that was founded by his great-grandfather in 1931.

Family: He is married to Jill LaMalfa, with whom he has four children.

LaMalfa first ran for Congress in 2013, and has continued to win reelection every 2 years. Before running for the congressional seat, LaMalfa served in the California State Assembly (2002-2008) and the California State Senate (2010-2012).
